Following our recent participation at the Annual Boomer Technology Circle Summit at Kansas City (hats off to the awesome peeps at Boomer!), just thought we should address (again) why accountants should look for an appropriate secure file transfer & collaboration solution if they don't already have one in place.

Why?

Because it's all about security.

Missouri is the latest state to join the other 44 in the nation with its passing of a data breach notification law. House Bill 62 will be effective as of August 28th, 2009. The regulation requires anyone (person or business) who handles sensitive personal information to provide notification if there is unauthorized access (security breach) to the system where the personal data resides.

When Internet legend Marc Andreesen speaks, the world listens. He spoke last week, proclaiming  that the problem with browsers is that they haven't kept pace with the  web. Specifically, he explained that the "web has become so central to what we do" and work environments requiring unfettered collaboration, and yet current browsers have not taken advantage of this shift.

It is time for Meet a Leapfiler!

Meet one of the awesome members from our client service team, CJ!

In the last couple days, rumors are flying around in the office as we are proposing a theory that CJ used to secretly be a rock star (based on some pictures we saw from his college days) although he has yet to confirm such rumors. Apparently CJ had a wild side that he has never showed anyone here in the office! So with this interview, we are looking to discover CJ beyond that warm, friendly guy who always has a big ol’ smile on his face.

As a service provider, our number one motto that we live and breathe here is of course, service (duh!). It is who we are, what we do, and what we will always be about. We work with each and every one of our clients every step of the way.

It all started with a bagel...

It's an inside joke here at LeapFILE that we're the best kept secret in town. We provide an awesome solution to businesses who are seeking enterprise class, secure file transfer but we do little to no marketing. One way or another, however, our customers find us. It's a fact that over 90% of our customer base finds us because an existing customer recommended LeapFILE; or because they were on the recipient end of a LeapFILE transfer and were astounded by how easy the transfer process was.

The end of file sharing…the beginning of collaboration. For some time now, that phrase has been splattered prominently near the top of all our web pages as sort of a teaser for our new product, which we are very excited to launch as a beta program at DEMOfall09 (“official” announcement to come later).

And yet, our little though mighty team will attempt to compete on the same stage for the vaunted title of DEMOgod. We can do it!

Ready, set, go... almost!

We announced last Friday that we are launching Oxygen at DemoFall'09 on September 21. That is exactly 21 days away -- yikes!

We are in count down mode, and the list of to-do's grows by the hour. At some point, I'm hoping the needle goes in the other direction. Such is life in the product launch universe.
